Light through the trees

One of the things I have loved since moving here to Missouri, is the way that the light streams through the trees in the forest. The forests of the Ozarks are thick and deep, and in some places a person can’t see through them at all. But sometimes, from a certain angle, you can see the sun streaming through the leaves and lighting up the forest floor. This painting is a nod to the light in the trees in the Ozarks.
