Why I Paint

Ever had one of those days when you said to yourself, “ There has to be more than this!” ?

Ever felt a sense of nostalgia for a place or time that you have never experienced? Ever felt like you were just made for more than this life?

Well, if so, you were right. You were.

I believe that we all were created to reflect the glory of God. And we have a part of ourselves deep within, that remembers Eden.

And that is the part that I strive to speak to with my art.

Recently a friend of mine commented on a painting of mine called Lake Light. She said that my work was surreal, and yet when looking at it, one wished that the world was like that.

Huge compliment of course. And that feeling is exactly what I hope to evoke with each painting.
